Terms of Use

Use CredentialVault as your secure credential record—not as the issuing authority.

These terms describe the responsibilities that apply when you create a Personal vault, upload documents, share credentials, join organizations, or purchase a subscription.

Effective August 28, 2026

Your account

You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials confidential, and use CredentialVault only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access.

Your FireForge identity and Personal vault remain associated with you when you join or leave organizations. An organization membership may carry separate workplace, agency, or legal obligations that are not replaced by these terms.

Credentials and document intelligence

CredentialVault stores the records you enter and can suggest fields from uploaded documents. OCR and other document intelligence can be incomplete or incorrect. You must compare every suggested field with the original before relying on it.

Saving a credential, continuing-education target, renewal date, or document review does not mean FireForge, Apple, an employer, or a licensing authority has certified its accuracy or legal sufficiency. CredentialVault is not a government issuer, licensing authority, legal advisor, or substitute for the original credential.

Sharing and organization records

You control which supported Personal credential fields are shared with each connected organization. The receiving organization controls its own acceptance, rejection, notes, requirements, and legally required audit history.

Agency-issued credentials can be delivered into your Personal vault with issuer provenance. Revocation or supersession changes lifecycle status without erasing the historical record.

Subscriptions and Apple billing

CredentialVault may offer monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple. The purchase screen displays the current localized price and billing period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and the subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

You can manage or cancel an Apple subscription through Apple Subscriptions. Restoring a purchase does not bypass FireForge verification; access begins only after the server verifies the Apple-signed transaction and returns the applicable entitlement.

Prices, taxes, refunds, billing recovery, and storefront availability are administered under Apple's applicable rules. Deleting your FireForge account does not itself cancel recurring Apple billing.

Acceptable use and availability

Do not upload content you do not have the right to possess, attempt to access another person's vault, interfere with security controls, introduce malicious code, scrape the service, or use CredentialVault to misrepresent credential status.

FireForge may limit or suspend access to protect users, comply with law, address misuse, perform maintenance, or respond to a security event. Features can evolve, but CredentialVault will not silently transfer ownership of Personal credentials to an organization.

Ending use and support

You may stop using CredentialVault, revoke organization sharing, leave organizations, export your Personal data, or initiate account deletion through the available controls. Retention required by law or by an organization's legitimate recordkeeping duties may continue as described in the Privacy Policy.

Questions about these terms or the operation of CredentialVault can be sent through the CredentialVault support page.
